Reims Management School Answer:
We apply both technical and non-technical aspects

2. Who reads the applications once they arrive at the business school?
Are students involved in this process?
Is it an individual or Board decision?

Reims Management School Answer:
Once the application received, it is reviewed by members of MBA Admissions' team, mostly for completeness and validation of the necessary requirements (scores and work experience). A jury made of a faculty member and an industry person is set up to run the interview with the candidate.

Students are not involved in the admission procedure.

The admission decision is made by an Admission Board.

3. How would you describe the decision making process?

Reims Management School Answer:
After the admission session, the Admission Board meets to decide on admissions based essentially on the interview, essays, and recommendation letters.
Students are then informed of the Board's decision.

4. What criteria are used to evaluate good prospective candidates?

Reims Management School Answer:
Primarily work experience, but also test results. Once we receive an application, essays are useful indications on the quality of a prospective candidate.

5. How important are GMAT & TOEFL scores?

Reims Management School Answer:
Both are necessary conditions. The TOEFL allows us to validate the fact that the student's level of English is sufficient to follow a program in English. The GMAT (or equivalent) allows us to validate the fact that the student has the required academic level to successfully complete the MBA courses.
At this point, we have not used these tests to arbitrage admission between candidates.

6. Is there a minimum needed before a candidate should consider applying?
Does it matter how many times a candidate sit these exams?

Reims Management School Answer:
Yes. A minimum of 213 at the TOEFL and 500 at the GMAT is required as well as 3 years working experience privilege.

Yes, we accept the applicants listed on the waiting list but only 1 time.

Reims Management School has exchange programs with China, Spain, Mexico, UK and USA.

The selection of exchange partners is based on:

Our participants come from very diversified professional origins: Management, Sales and Marketing, Communication, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Finance and Banking, Accounting, Law, Political Science, Arts, Pharmacy, Medicine?

The majority of participants seek to enter Finance, Marketing industries and international management.

Current and past students are very positive about the school and the program. They are often solicited to participate in fairs and to meet with prospective students. They are active participants in their MBA students association: Spirit of MBA. They act as willing Ambassadors of the MBA program.

Regarding placement, students are assisted in the development and implementation of their professional project through coaching and workshops. Furthermore, bi-monthly conferences from business or social leaders maintain a strong link with the business community and provide opportunities for students to meet and network.

There are no don'ts. Essays help us evaluate the candidate's ability to write in English and express ideas clearly. There are also very useful to assess the candidate's capacity to reflect on various, often personal issues, and formulate an intelligent vision for their future.

It is important to stay within the limits stated in the application.

19. What role do the 'Letters of Recommendation' play?

Reims Management School Answer:
Recommendation letters can make a difference if they are very positive, specific, and well written. Lukewarm letters may have a negative impact. Recommendation letters that too general have little impact on the decision process.

20. What is the function of an interview at your school, and what role does it play in the admissions process?

Reims Management School Answer:
The interview is the most important element in the admission process. It allows us to validate the image projected by the applicant through their application file and essays. Most importantly, it allows us to determine whether the applicant will fit well in the school/MBA environment, if they will be able to contribute to the school and program, and if they have the potential to grow as potential leaders in the organization.
We base our admission decision mostly on the interview, provided that the candidate has satisfied all other requirements.

NO. We just try to maintain cultural diversity, and have a balanced representation of regions and countries.

22. Does your school have 'rolling' admissions or admissions 'rounds'? When is the best period for a candidate to apply? Are candidates penalized for applying in the last round?

Reims Management School Answer:
We have admission sessions. It is always better to apply early, but there is no penalty for applying late.
